Alyssa Matoska, the owner of lyss + littles, a brand-new children’s boutique in East Tosa, shares her 8 favorite MKE spots.

Zócalo Food Truck Park — Initially, I started going to Zócalo for anytime arepas, and have quickly added so many great restaurants to our list! The Puerto Rican truck, Las Virellas, has become my go-to when I can’t hop on a plane for my dad’s cooking!

Santino’s — A family favorite, and our go-to when celebrating anything or when I’m in the mood for an incredible gluten free pizza!

Tosa Farmers Market — Imagine this: You start your morning grabbing iced coffee, load up the kids and your reusable totes to walk the market, grab all the fresh produce, maybe a sweet or two, and a bouquet of Aromatic Acres’ gorgeous flowers.

The Little Village Play Cafe — A cozy, inclusive, no-judgement space for caregivers who love coffee. The play space is perfect for my kids, and they offer so many wonderful enrichment classes!

Joy Ice Cream Social — They have the best ice cream flavors, hands down. Plus, I love all the fun collaborations that Liz has brought into the space! It’s a weekly visit, especially during the summer!

Story Hill BKC — It’s always a treat when we are able to make a Story Hill brunch. I’m obsessed with their Crêpe Monsieur… my mouth is watering just typing that!

Milwaukee Public Market — It was hard to choose just eight places that I love in Milwaukee, especially when this one exists. So many of my favorite spots are all under this roof. How fun that we get to say this exists in MKE!

The Ruby Tap — I love a good wine, and I love that Ruby Tap gives you the opportunity to taste so many good ones from all over. It’s a great space for a casual drink or celebration. Pro tip: Get the truffle popcorn!
