Jodie shares how she and husband Matt chose to pursue a new venture, plus their ideal Tosa Saturday, with their three kiddos in tow.
Tell us a little bit about your family.
Matt and I moved to Tosa in 2007. We were both working for Rockwell Automation and were relocated to the corporate office. Since living in Wisconsin, we have welcomed three children to our family: Owen (15, MUHS freshman); Ryan (13, Christ King eighth grade); and Sophie (11, Christ King sixth grade). Our Bernese Mountain dog, Rosie (age 3), completes our family.
We enjoyed working at Rockwell, but the demands of traveling globally led us to decide we wanted to do something that would give us a better work and family balance. Our first venture was opening Little Caesars franchise stores. We now have five locations in the surrounding Milwaukee area.
Congrats on the opening of Wing Zone in Tosa! How did you come to choose the location? And why Wing Zone? Are there any events or promotions customers can look forward to during the upcoming months/holiday season?
Our latest venture has been opening two Wing Zone restaurants, one in our own neighborhood of Tosa. We thought wings would be a great complement to the pizza business. Who doesn’t love pizza and wings?
This fall offers many reasons to try Wing Zone. Football season specials, pop-up events with Lion’s Tail, and dine-out nights that support Tosa schools. When you come to the Wing Zone in Tosa, you will likely be greeted by one of our many Swan Park teens working there!
If you had a completely open fall Saturday in Tosa, how would you spend it?
When we’re not flipping pizzas or flavoring wings, you’ll find us on bike rides along the parkway, playing pickleball, enjoying bonfires with neighbors, coaching and watching our kids’ sporting events, and meeting friends at the beer garden. Wave when you see us driving around town in our orange Jeep. You’ll know it’s us because Rosie’s head will be hanging out the window.
