It may still be the depths of winter, but I am itching to refresh my home for spring — and know so many others are, too! Here are three easy ways to refresh your home for the new season.
● Incorporate fresh flowers, always. Tulips are my go-to, and both Sendik’s and Trader
Joe’s regularly stock a variety of colors and assortments. Tip: Place a penny on the
bottom of your vase; the copper ensures longer-lasting, less-droopy tulips.
● Launder your curtains, pillow cases, and slipcovers. I always wash nearly every larger
upholstered item in my home every February, and the feeling of knowing each item is
clean and ready for the new season is unmatched. I also recently discovered these
curtains (from T.J. Maxx, no less!), and the price — for Belgian linen! — can’t be beat.
The quality is incredible, too, and colorways include both crisp white and creamy taupe.
● Add a rattan piece or two. I love how rattan adds texture to a space, and, in my
opinion, it’s timeless, too. This scalloped bowl is on my to-buy list, and I also recently
invested in this basket from Pottery Barn. For larger pieces, these Serena & Lily
counter/bar stools are lovely, as is this all-weather, deep-seat sofa.
