In case you missed it, we counted down to Christmas by celebrating 12 local businesses. These small businesses (and so many others!) form the fabric of our community, and it was an honor to promote them. We’d love for you to support these businesses beyond the holiday season, too!

12 Days of Local Business Love

Dec. 12: Kick off the countdown with a visit to Tosa’s first-ever Holiday Market (click here). It’s open till 9 p.m., and features food and drink vendors, a plethora of local shops to peruse, and a beer hall-style tent to escape the winter chill.

Dec. 13: Need a new outfit for a holiday gathering or event? Stop into Shop Privy (click here), where owner and fellow Wauwatosan Erin Juzenas sells a chicly curated collection of contemporary womenswear.

Dec. 14: More chic women’s (and men’s!) apparel can be found in the heart of Elm Grove, at Moxie Midwest (click here). Stocking stuffers for both genders abound, too.

Dec. 15: It’s likely you’re heading to a holiday gathering this weekend, so pop into Mooi (click here) in the Tosa Village for a host or hostess gift. The shop is open till 5 p.m.

Dec. 16: Entrepreneur Liz Joy of Joy Ice Cream Social (click here) cleverly pivoted her offerings for the winter, and now serves Ruby’s Bagels on Fridays and Saturdays. Take the guesswork out of breakfast during an especially busy time of year.

Dec. 17: For gifts for the home decor or interior design lover, shop Elm Grove’s G. Home (click here), where chic accessories and memorable gifts are styled alongside luxe furniture. Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 18: Stock up on the essentials — coffee and craft beer, of course — at Vennture Brew Co (click here). Community is top priority here, too, so, in the spirit of the season, enjoy a beverage while chatting it up with the uber-friendly staff.

Dec. 19: If you’re looking ahead to the new year and desire a refreshed look, book an appointment with Lauren Guhl (click here), an aesthetic physician assistant based in Wauwatosa. Book an in-home appointment (no sitters needed!) or visit her on-site at a local skin spa.

Dec. 20: Looking for chic eyewear options or a new optometrist? Our go-to spot is Be Spectacled (click here), in the Tosa Village. The space is industrial yet cozy, and the staff is warm and welcoming.

Dec. 21: One of our favorite newish businesses in Tosa is The Little Village Play Cafe (click here), where owner Abi Gilman has created a beloved space for caregivers and their littles to socialize with other caregivers and their littles. Pro tip: The retail space is worth a visit, too, if you’re still in need of a children’s gift.

Dec. 22: Still need stocking stuffers for your kiddos? Head over a beloved Tosa favorite, Ruckus & Glee (click here), for a myriad of options. Open till 6 p.m.

Dec. 23: Having officially made it through what’s often the busiest (and most stressful!) time of the year, treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers from The Flower Lady (click here) to enjoy all weekend long. Flower delivery subscriptions are also available.
